Actor Prakash Raj dismissed a viral photo of him taking a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh Mela on Tuesday. He confirmed that he has filed a police complaint against those responsible for the digitally altered image.

According to the edited photo posted by an account called Prashant Sambaragi, it stated that he allegedly took a dip at the Triveni Sanga. The text implied that the actor’s sins would be forgiven. The image’s inauthenticity was further shown by its subpar editing, which included an AI-altered hand.

Addressing the issue on X, Prakash Raj condemned the spread of fake news, accusing “the cowardly army of the False King” of distorting even religious events. He confirmed legal action: “A police complaint has been filed. Let’s see what they do in the courtroom.”
